It's cheap and pathetic and I should hate myself for it, but I don't. I really like myself above all my weaknesses.
But some time back, out sheer respect for another's privacy (and also because I genuinely had a lot of work to do) I stopped trespassing. When I came back to my old ways (aah, the lust for blood) I realised, that orkut had made life much simpler for me.
Now, however cheap and pathetic and shameful it may be, those orkut beautifiers had now made it much easier for orkut spies to get their load of gossip for the day.
I'm referring to the 'Updates from my Friends' section, where you can get to know new and exciting info about your friends, such as:
- Someone you know who was called XYZ now is known as 'Life Sucks' and incidently has also sent you a 'Have a very Happy Diwali' message with 4 smileys.
- Someone you know is single and not married, has updated the 'children' column to 'none'
- Some people you know were not single and not married have changed their status to 'committed' and 'open relationship' respectively.
- Some people you did not know were committed suddenly become 'single'
- 'Zulu' is the language your neighbour for 12 years has suddenly started to speak.
- Someone in your friends list has developed a new 'Passion' for 'Lazing at night after a day of hard work'!
- Someone you know who had a crush on someone else, has written a verrry interesting testimonial for her/him :)
In short, saves a lot of time.
For those who care to protect their privacy like myself..

Orkut should come up wid selective hide/show updates...
i recently updated my 'ideal match', and had guys scrapping me "ideal match update kiya?"
they shud let me show such an update only to all the gals in my list... more so, only to select gals at tht... customisation to the hilt
SRK there's a feature called crush list in orkut...it's very specific and 'selective'..try using that ;)
quite intersting :)
Gothik (yeah - read the other post too!) : Why don't u write a book "Orkut spying for dummies" or "A Beginner's guide to orkut", try and publish it and demand a royalty from google? :)

Not a bad idea at all! In fact I can see my Target audience right now.. a bunch of 'frands' who want to 'do' or 'make frandships with beautiful gal' and also ofcourse 'scrape' them meanwhile! :D
